Rudale Clemons, 91, of Tipp City, OH, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026. He was born in Salyersville, Kentucky, and joined the Navy at the age of 18 during the Korean War, honorably serving until 1956. Following his military service, Rudale built a remarkable 38-year career as a transmission specialist at Hopkins Chevrolet, where he was renowned for his expertise and earned numerous awards.
In the late 1970s, Rudale joined the Army National Guard, proudly serving for 20 years and retiring as a Staff Sergeant. A dedicated member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4615 for over 40 years, he held the position of commander for five years and served as Sr. Vice, contributing his time and efforts to help others in his community. Rudale was also a distinguished member of the Amvets Post 99 and American Legion Post 586.
Rudale cherished the outdoors, finding joy in hunting and fishing, particularly for deer and turkey. His pride was a remarkable 13-point buck he shot from a canoe in the Great Miami River and was featured in a hunting magazine.
He is preceded in death by his mother Mabel Clemons, father William Clemons, wife Rebecca Clemons, brother Elwood Clemons, sisters Wilma Howard, Donna Davis, Dottie Clemons, and stepson Jack Choate. He is survived by his brothers, James Clemons and Robert Clemons; his sister, Glenda Perreira; his children Danny Clemons, Katherine Clemons (Larry), Tara Brigner (Doug), Rebecca Howell (Pat), and Diane Sullivan; and his grandchildren William Adkins, Greg Miller (Chelsea), Gordan Shepherd Jr., Michael Shepherd, Angela Dowden (Doug), Parker Howell, Waylon Sullivan, Jennifer Talmage (Matt), along with many great-grandchildren.
Rudale had a kind heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand, earning him the respect and admiration of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and the community he cherished.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation at Lustgarten.org, where 100% of your donation goes directly to pancreatic cancer research.
