Rubin Jr. Flemings

Rubin Jr. Flemings, 67 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025, under the care of Hospice of Dayton. Rubin was born on April 5, 1958, to the late Vestella McGowan (McGowan) Flemings and the late Rubin Richardson. He is preceded in death by a sister, Sue Alston, grandmothers, Henretta (Allen) McGowan and Mary (Sneed) Gatewood, nephew, Donte Alston, and niece, Aveon Richardson.

He was educated in the Dayton Public School system. He loved family and attending family gatherings. He was a quiet person but full of laughter when around family and friends. Rubin enjoyed life and grew up in the church, believing in God.

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted soul mate, Alicia-Lee Lee Sanford, daughter, Bobbi (Rashid) Lawson of Dayton, OH, and sons, Veno Sanford of Dayton, OH and Phoenix Jackson of Dayton, OH; and sisters, Veszoretha Vaughn, of Trotwood, OH, Connie Richardson of Trotwood, OH, Sandra Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Etta (Charles) Hunter, Ammie Gail (Richard) Winn of Dayton, OH, Debra Orr of Merrillville, IN, Alisa (Kenneth) Dabney of Dayton, OH, brothers, Roger Flemings of Fairborn, OH, Dominic (Margaret) Flemingson of Trotwood, OH, and Martin Flemings, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends as well as kids of his soul mate who he loved as his own.
