Roy D. Layman, age 74 of Dayton passed away December 16, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital.
Roy was born May 16, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Delbert and Bertha Mae (Hayes) Layman.
He served our country in both the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents and other family members.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Elvia (Mendoza) Layman; as well as many other family members and friends.
A funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel. Military honors will be rendered prior to the service.
Roy's family will greet friends from 2-4:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
