Roy Lee "Butch" Fisher, affectionately known as Butch, passed away on July 23, 2026, in Piqua, Ohio, just days before his 71st birthday. Born on July 27, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio, Butch was a beloved presence to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A proud graduate of Wilbur Wright High School, Butch established enduring relationships and created many cherished memories during his formative years. He spent much of his career working at Buckhorn Tavern, where he was known for his commitment, reliability, and the camaraderie he shared with both colleagues and patrons alike. His work ethic and warm personality left a lasting impression on all who interacted with him over the years.

Butch’s passions went beyond his everyday responsibilities. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the Cincinnati Bengals and never missed an opportunity to cheer for the Cincinnati Reds. His love for music was evident, with Donny Osmond and Elvis Presley holding special places in his heart.

Family was central in Butch’s life. He is survived by his devoted sisters, Larita Young and Nancy Waker, who remember him as a loving brother whose kindness knew no bounds. He was preceded in death by his parents,  Adam Lee and June Ruby (Tincher) Fisher, and his beloved brother, Tim Fisher. Butch’s family and friends admired his innate kindness, unwavering positivity, and witty sense of humor. He was known to never complain and approached life’s challenges with grace and good nature.

Those who knew Butch will attest that he was truly one of a kind. He made a lasting impact everywhere he went, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and compassion. His memory will continue to be honored by all who loved him, and his absence will be deeply felt within his community.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel.
