Roy Clyde Day

Roy Clyde Day, age 91 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born May 11, 1926 in Evarts, Kentucky, the son of the late John and Eva Day.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Margaret Day; and son, Dennis Day.

Roy is survived by his son, David Day; grandchildren, Heather (Rick) Weber, Aaron (Jessica) Day; four great-grandchildren, Dustin, Brandon, Hazel, Nolan and one great-grandchild on the way.

Roy served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Following his military service, he was employed for many years as a firefighter with the Dayton Fire Department.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 9:30 - 10:30 am at Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH 45424). Funeral service will begin at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
