He was born in St. Charles, Virginia, on December 8, 1938 to the late Dominic and Mary Audia. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Linda Audia; sons Tim and Kevin Audia; along with brothers and sisters.
Roy is survived by his daughter Kim (Darrell) Sargent; daughters-in-law Tonja Audia and Penny Audia; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 2 sisters, Sonja Arnett and Donna Rucker; brother Jim (Sherry) Audia; numerous nieces and nephews.
Roy retired from Miles/Bayer Corporation, where he spent many years of his career contributing to the company's success. Prior to this, he served his community as a paramedic and firefighter for ten years in West Carrollton, a role that showcased his commitment to helping others and making a difference in their lives. His courage and selflessness in the face of emergencies left a lasting impact on many.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Roy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He cherished the time spent with his family, valuing the memories forged while traveling and enjoying each other’s company. An avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, he engaged spiritedly with the team, embracing the thrill of each game. He also had a fondness for westerns, often relishing the stories and characters that defined the genre.
Roy's legacy is one of compassion, dedication, and love for both family and community. He will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him. His commitment to service and his passionate interests are memories that will live on in the hearts of many.
