Ross Edward Kosins, age 82, of Centerville, OH passed away on October 2, 2019. Ross was born on October 11, 1936 in Milwaukee, WI. He was the son of Edward and Helen (Rucinski) Kosins.
During his working life, Ross was a spirited entrepreneur in the restaurant business. For years Ross owned the restaurant Kosins Kitchen in Xenia and the Cedarville Family Restaurant in Cedarville. Physical fitness and personal health was a main focus in Ross' life. He was a member of LA Fitness and the Dayton Bike Club where he belonged to the elite 10,000 mile Club. Ross was a veracious reader where he would visit the Centerville Library and check out as many as 20 books at a time. This was paramount in Ross becoming quite the self-educated man. His home was his oasis, along with his wife Julia, he would spend hours listening to Julia playing her baby grand piano.
Ross leaves behind a living legacy consisting of his sons, Gregory Kosins of Thailand and Ross William Kosins (Michelle) of Centerville, OH, daughters, Alicia Marie Kosins of Dayton, OH and Renee Ann (Tony) Wick of Beavercreek, OH; brothers, Mark Kosins of Ft. Wayne, IN, Robert (Pam) Kosins of Bellbrook, OH, Gary (Carolyn) Kosins of Vero Beach, FL and Bruce Kosins (Cheryl) of Toccoa, GA; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Along with his parents, Ross was preceded in death by his wife Julia Louise Kosins and daughter, Kathleen Deloris Kosins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 10 am to 11 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, Ohio. Burial will immediately follow visitation at David's Cemetery.
