Listen to Obituary

Rosetta “Tunie” Redovian, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 26 at the age of 81, surrounded by the love of her family.

Known affectionately to everyone as Tunie, she had a special light about her and a smile that touched not only those who knew and loved her, but everyone whose path she crossed.

Tunie was preceded in death by her loving husband, John, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories and raised two daughters.

She is survived by her daughters, Leigh Anne Bierstine and her husband, Jim, of Fairfax Station, Virginia, and Amy Ward and her husband, Bob, of Springboro, Ohio. She was a proud and loving grandmother to five grandchildren: Ben and Nick Bierstine, and Morgan, Emma, and Lucas Ward. She is also survived by her brother, Jim Lisle, and his wife, Patsy, of Springfield, Ohio.

Tunie was incredibly proud of her grandchildren and all their accomplishments, which brought her tremendous joy. She loved taking trips with her husband and visiting her grandchildren. She always enjoyed a cup of black coffee and loved shopping with her daughters, friends and grandchildren. She was always happy to bake pies for church events, and she cherished simply being together with those she loved.

Tunie also loved spending time in her yard, whether trimming her trees, tending to her numerous flower gardens, or shopping for flowers each spring.

A graduate of Pomeroy High School, Tunie went on to enjoy a 36-year career with American Electric Power, where she developed lasting friendships and took great pride in her work.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Middleport Presbyterian Church in Middleport, Ohio on Sunday November 15th 12-2 with a light lunch beginning at 12:30.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Tunie's memory to Day City Hospice.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Courtyard of Centerville, Ohio, for the compassionate care and kindness they provided to Tunie during her time there.
