King, Rosa S., age 89 of Dayton, passed away at Hospice of Dayton Sunday evening April 8, 2018. She was born December 11, 1928 in Pruden, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her father Tom Stephens and mother Lucy (Barry) Stephens, brothers Charles, Lloyd, Floyd, Everett, Bill and sister Edith Stephens and husband John King of 67 years, Daughter-in-law Cynthia King and grand-daughter Alissa King.
She is survived by sons Larry (Michelle) and Robert King of Dayton, sister Idella Leach of Dayton, 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and lots of friends.
She retired from Winters Bank where she worked for many years as a dedicated bank teller. Rosa was a faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Temple where she served counting the offering and other areas of service in the church over the years.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, April 16 at Cornerstone Baptist Temple, 1707 Ohmer Ave. Dayton 45410 with Pastor Jerry Siler officiating, with burial to follow at Miami Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church or Hospice of Dayton.
