Ronald L. Wilson, Jr., affectionately known as Ronnie, was a vibrant spirit whose life was a testament to living boldly and laughing heartily. Born on January 10, 1984, in Dayton, Ohio, Ronnie's journey came to an untimely close on April 28, 2026, in Union, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy drenched in humor, creativity, and unyielding passion.
Ronnie was a man who wore many hats—a devoted son, father, brother, uncle, and above all, a free spirit who embraced life unapologetically and with fierce independence. From the halls of Tecumseh High School, class of 2002, where he first ignited his quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor, to the days he worked diligently at Hobart Welding Supplies in Troy and Pet Supply Company in Dayton, he never lost his spark. His laughter was infectious, his company a joy to all who knew him.
A beacon to those around him, Ronnie never met a stranger and gave freely to anyone in need. Riding motorcycles and feeling the wind’s roar, finding thrill in the bright, blinking lights of slot machines, immersing himself in the realms of video games, and expressing himself through art—both writing and drawing—Ronnie’s passions were as varied and vivid as the man himself.
He was a comedian in any crowd, delighting in bringing joy, light, and laughter to every gathering. Ronnie marched to the beat of his own drum, living fast and embracing every moment with a wild heart and open arms.
His fierce independence and generosity were matched only by the love he held for his family and friends. Ronnie is survived by his devoted parents, Ronnie and Kendra Wilson; daughter, Annabella; siblings, Michael (Tiffany) Wilson, Krista (Brent) Trefz, Jon (Danielle) Bowling, Blake Wilson, and Dylan Wilson; niece, Bailey Bowling; nephews: Noah Trefz, Lucas Bowling, Kelly Wilson and Brayden Bowling. He also leaves behind many other relatives and friends who were fortunate enough to share pieces of his extraordinary life.
Ronnie’s presence was shaped by the foundation laid by those who preceded him—his mother Georgette “Shorty” Wilson; and grandparents Ruth Greear, Ronald F. Wilson, Jan “Nani” Eisen, and Frederick L. “Pops” London. Though they have passed on, their spirit lived within him, a spark passed down that helped fuel his vibrant, untamed soul.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. To share a memory of Ronnie or to leave his family a special message, please sign the online guestbook provided. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ronnie's memory to any local recovery program of your choice.
Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio.
Today, we remember Ronnie not just in grief but in celebration of a life lived loudly—a life that dared to laugh in the face of every challenge, to give fully, to create endlessly, and to love deeply. His was a flame that burned bright and wild, lighting up the lives of all he touched, forever echoing in the joy and memories he left behind.
