Ronald J Tippy, most recently a resident of Centerville, OH, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018. He was born on December 30, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio.
Ron proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring as a Technical Sergeant in 1983. He was raised on a farm near Owensburg, Indiana and graduated from Eastern Greene County High School in 1963. In his youth, Ron attended Bethel Christian Church near Owensburg. He was an avid fan of Classic Chevy's and old time rock and roll. He loved attending classic car shows and drag races.
Ron is survived by a son, Terry Tippy; a sister, Janet (Mike) Manzenberger; two nieces, Deanna Manzenberger and Molly (Roger) Stevens; six great nieces and nephews along with other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Hazel (Frownfelter) Tippy.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 1828 Sieboldt Quarry Road near Springville, Indiana.
