Ronald "Ron" L. Payne, age 85 of Tipp City, Ohio went to be with the Lord on May 19, 2026. He was born February 23, 1941 in Lexington, Kentucky. Son of the late Dorothy (Dixon) Moldovan.
Ron was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a retired Air Force Vietnam Veteran, who proudly served his Country for 20 years. He was a member of the Antioch Shriners, the Master Masons of the Grand Lodge #777, and the Roman Trojans Camping Organization. Ron was an avid animal lover, loved going fishing, attending car shows, and watching Westerns. His pride and joy was his family and doting on his great grandchildren. Ron will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Payne; daughter, Debra Lamberson; and brother, Olen Payne.
He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda (Tamer) Demiryapar; grandchildren, Tayfur (Ashley) and Tomair (Kasandra) Demiryapar; great grand children, James, Iyla, Ieyden, and Zeynep; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 5-6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 4524. A funeral service will begin at 6pm with Deacon Leo officiating.
The family will be meeting at the Funeral Home on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 9:15am in the parking lot to process over to Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery for a 10am Graveside Service with military honors.
Memorial contributions can be made in Ron's honor to the Shriner's Children's Ohio, 1 Children's Plaza 2 West, Dayton, OH 45404.
