Ronald L. Smith

Ronald Lee Smith, age 80 of Dayton, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on January 29, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Fred and Helen Smith.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judith Smith; parents, Fred R. and Helen Smith; two brothers, Kenneth (Carol) Smith and Robert (Shirley) Smith.

Ronald is survived by his children, Michelle (Tim) Williams, Brandon (Tabitha) Smith, Rhonda (Rich) Covert, and Robert Smith; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Carol Dunnigan and Sandra Smith. He is also survived by numerous family and friends including his special pup, Chloe.

He graduated from Beavercreek High School in 1964 then went on to work for RC and Pepsi Cola for more than 40 years. Ronald loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially giving unique nicknames to everyone he met. Ronald also enjoyed camping and boating on the Ohio river alongside his wife, Judith and their children. He is well loved and will be deeply missed.
