Ronald Gene Emrich, 77, of Carlisle passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at his home surrounded by family. Ron was born February 21, 1943, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of the late Albert and Edna (King) Emrich. On April 7, 1962, Ron married his loving wife, the former Geneva Kremin, who survives him.
Also surviving are daughter, Ronda (Gary) DeBord; daughter-in-law, Lisa (Appulese-Emrich) Wigger; grandchildren, Jessica (David), Alex, Corey, Samantha, and Justin; great-granddaughter, Evelyn Grace; brother, David; sister, Retha; and many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by son, Timothy Emrich.
Ron was a proud veteran who served as a Sgt E-5 in the Army during the Vietnam War. Ron loved classic movies and spending time with friends. He particularly loved shooting pool and playing chess. He also loved to travel, especially Lake Louise in Canada.

A funeral service will be held on at 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 820 Central Ave, Carlisle, OH 45005, with burial to follow at Dayton National Cemetery. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care of Middletown or Hillcrest Baptist Church in Ron's memory.
The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face mask will be worn in all public places.
