Ronald Downing

Ronald Lee Downing, age 77, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away June 4, 2026. He was born in Chillicothe, Ohio, on June 24, 1948. Ron served his county in the United States Air Force from June 1967 to June 1971. He worked for Ford Motor Company as an outstanding Electrician for 37 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leona (Snyder) and Earl Downing. Ron is survived by his wife, Yvonne. His brother, Michael (Marcy) Downing, and sister, Diana Shoemaker. His son, Shawn (Stacey) Downing, and daughter, Amy (Eric) Condran; stepchildren, Natalie (Paul Good) Law and David (Heather) Mundhenk; several nieces and nephews, 12 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. The grandchildren were the love of his life.

Ron will be remembered for his happy smile and his devotion to his family.

Family will gather for a private celebration of his life at his home.
