Roger L. Smith

Roger "Rog" Lee Smith, age 76 of Clayton, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home on December 12, 2025. He was born August 8, 1949 in Zanesville, Ohio son of the late Arthur and Louvina Smith.

Roger was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He lived a great purposeful life, devoted to special education and finance. Roger was a United States Air Force Veteran who proudly served his country. He was a faithful member of Shiloh Church for many years. He was a Cleveland Browns Football fan who enjoyed going to the games as often as he could. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Fonda Smith; sons, Scott (Rebecca) Smith of North Carolina and Kevin (Kristen) Smith of Indiana; several grandsons; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 10am to 11am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A funeral service will follow beginning at 11am.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 9am at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio.
