Roger Adam Eagle

Roger A. Eagle, age 93, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026. Born on May 7, 1933, Roger lived a life marked by unwavering faith, devoted service, generosity, and love for his family. His kindness touched countless lives, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

Roger graduated from Roosevelt High School before honorably serving in the United States Army during the Korean War. He went on to enjoy a long career as a printing press builder with Heidelberg Printing Press, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

A faithful member of Bethel Temple Assembly of God, Roger taught Sunday School for more than 60 years, inspiring generations through his wisdom and steadfast faith. He also helped build churches in Indiana and Kentucky, leaving a lasting legacy of service.

Family was the center of Roger's life. He treasured time with loved ones, especially family trips to Virginia. Known for his playful sense of humor and generous heart, Roger delighted in making others laugh and was always willing to help those in need.

Roger is survived by his loving daughter, Deborah Gillaugh, married to James J. Gillaugh Jr., and his devoted sister, Iris Davenport. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bernice Eagle; his parents, Adam Sylvester Eagle and Emma M. Eagle; his sisters, Myrna Parker Reagelsperger and Carol Baltozer; and his brothers, Paul Eagle and David Eagle.

Roger's legacy of faith, kindness, and service will live on through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

A Memorial Gathering will take place on Friday, August 21, 2026 from 1:00PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home: Kettering, (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering Ohio, 45439).
