Rodney E. Gray, age 56 of Carlisle, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. He was born March 26, 1964 in Wilmington, Ohio, the son of Kenneth Gray and Janet Stepp.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Janet Stepp.
Rod is survived by his loving children, Heather, Crystal, Thomas "Tommy" and Anthony "Tony" Gray; grandchildren, Carter, Braylen, Daniella and Colton "Colty" Gray; father, Kenneth (Barb) Gray; brothers, Randy Gray, Ronnie (Deloris) Gray and Nick (Vicki Ladu) Stewart; mother of his children, Kelly Desch; along with numerous extended family and friends.
He was raised in Franklin, Ohio and graduated from Waynesville High School in 1982. After high school graduation, Rod proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Rod was a hard worker as a carpenter, the most generous person, loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Rod was a talented guitar player who was too shy to play in front of a crowd.
