Rodger W. Perkins

Rodger Perkins, age 79, of Dayton Ohio passed away August 23, 2024 at Hospice of Dayton. 

Rodger was born May 2, 1945 in Gatliff, Kentucky the son of Mitchell and Celia (Lawson) Perkins. 

Rodger was retired from the Duriron Company / Flowserve after 34 years of service. Rodger was one of their lead CNC machinist. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Hershall, Kenneth, Arthur, and Marshall; and his sister, Aileen (Childers). 

Rodger is survived by his loving wife Patsy (Kelly) Perkins of 60 years, his son, Steven, and grandsons Nicholas and Chase. He is also survived by his sister, Shelby (Deck); brother, Norman, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Rodger enjoyed bowling and golf. He was a sports fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Kentucky Wildcats. Rodger was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He was a hard worker and perfectionist.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 12:30-1:30pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424. The service will follow at 1:30pm. Rodger will be laid to rest at Willow View Cemetery.
