Rodger Bernard Hohman, born on August 21, 1940, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, passed away on May 25, 2026.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl Hohman; daughter Terri Reynolds (Rick); son Paul Hohman; step-son Jeffrey Crawford; grandsons Keith Ivan and Kevin Ivan (Erica) and granddaughter Ashlyn Ivan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Hohman; father, Bernard Hohman; and brothers, David and Richard Hohman.

Rodger proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Following his military service, he devoted more than 35 years to his career as an electronics quality inspector at DESC.He was a member of First Baptist Church of Kettering at Sugarcreek.

Rodger's personality was as varied as his interests. He had an oddball sense of humor and a genuine love for making others laugh. Few ever understood his humor but if you did, it brought a twinkle to Rodger's eye. Much to the chagrin of his wife, Rodger was known for finding treasure in other people's throw aways. He delighted in taking walks and car trips, sometimes even choosing to ride the bus purely for the joy of exploration. His passion for travel was vast, having visited 48 out of 50 states, a testiment to his ever-curious nature. Beyond travel, Rodger nurtured a love for history, geography, and notably, the study of maps-an interest that reflected his inquisitive mind and appreciation for the world's intricate details. He was a cyclist and tennis player, he embraced an active lifestyle well into his later years.

One of Rodger's most beloved qualities was that he was always in the hunt for a soul who looked like he needed a friend and would take time to introduce him to others to come along side him. 

Rodger cherished family above all else. For more than 35 years, he upheld the cherished tradition of Thursday family dinners, a time for connection and laughter that he held sacred. His children blessed their dad with honoring and never missing a Thursday gathering.Rodger and his wife enjoyed grabbing a sandwich and going to a park and sitting and just enjoying the peaceful scenery. They also loved to take day trips to explore mother nature and find a new restaurant. Often lost on purpose, Rodger loved the opportunity use his navigational skills to find the way home and he always did.

Rodger Hohman's life was a profound journey marked by service, faith, exploration, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear. His memory will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.
