Robin Smith

Robin Yvonne Smith (Dixon), of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026, in Dayton. She was born on March 14, 1963, in Dayton, Ohio, where she was raised and spent all of her life.

Robin graduated from Patterson Co-Op High School in 1981. Throughout her working life, she worked for various companies and built many relationships along the way. While her work was an important part of her life, her greatest joy came from her family. Robin cherished being a mother and grandmother. She devoted much of her life to raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren. Her home and heart were always open to those she loved. She also had a special place in her heart for animals, and it was never unusual for her to welcome a cat or dog in need of a home. Her compassion and willingness to care for others were a reflection of the person she was.

Robin was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond C. Dixon and Lilly Dixon (Miller); brothers, Clifford Paul Dixon and Jeffery Dixon; son, Joseph M. Semons; and daughter, Amber Cordell.

She is survived by her husband, Mike W. Smith; children, James D. Smith, Ashley Smith, David J. Smith and his wife Taylor, Kelli Smith and her wife Robyn, Michael Smith Jr. and his wife Dana Cochran, and William E. Semons II and his wife Katie; along with numerous grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.

Robin will be remembered most for the love she gave to her family, the joy she found in raising her children and grandchildren, and the compassion she showed to both people and animals. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched and, most especially, through her family.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00-6:00 pm on Friday, September 25, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton.
