Robert Lee Whiteman "Rob"

Robert "Rob" Whiteman, born November 24, 1949, decided to take his final ride on August 11, 2026, at the age of 76. Born in Middletown, OH, and making his grand exit in Huber Heights, OH, Rob lived a life full of music, motorcycles, and a healthy dose of TV marathons.

Rob spent his career working in several different departments at AK steel until landing in the BOF Lab where he retired. Rob could be found revving up his motorcycle, or engrossed in a good TV show. He could also be found writing many poems in his free time. His love for family was unparalleled, and he was always ready with a warm hug.

A man of faith, Rob dedicated time to studying the Bible and lending a helping hand wherever he could. He volunteered at local food pantries and at Hope House in Middletown, spreading kindness and good humor to those who needed it most.

Rob is preceded in death by his parents, John and Martha Whiteman; his brother, Ronald Whiteman; his son, Caleb Whiteman; and his best friend, Phil Brown (Brownie). Though they have gone ahead, we can only imagine the lively reunion they're having now.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 45 years, Tammy Whiteman; his children, Ivel (Kira) Whiteman and Shauna Whiteman; and his grandchildren, Melody Conley, Mason Monk, Harmony Whiteman, and Everleigh Whiteman. He also leaves behind his brother, Tom (Sheila) Whiteman and many nieces and nephews.

Rob's legacy is one of laughter, love, and a life well-lived. As he rides off into the sunset, we can all agree that heaven just got a little more entertaining.

Celebration of life will be held August 20th at 5:00 PM at New Freedom Church (840 Miller Rd, Lebanon, OH 45036).
