Robert “Bob” C. Waddle, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the age of 74. He was born on May 30, 1951, in Xenia, Ohio. He was a graduate of the Xenia High School Class of 1969. Bob went on to build a long career at the General Motors Delphi plant, retiring in 2005. He valued time spent with family and formed lasting relationships with friends and neighbors alike.

Bob was known for his straightforward nature and honesty. He never hesitated to speak plainly or share his true thoughts, yet his warmth and social spirit made him a dedicated friend to many. Above all else, Bob took immense pride in being a father. He often spoke fondly of his children—Laura (Chris) Taylor, Twila Waddle, and Travis (Jessica) Waddle—whom he considered his greatest accomplishments. His love extended to his grandchildren, Calver, Evey, and Kate, who brought him endless joy.

Summers were especially meaningful to Bob, as he cherished time spent in Michigan with his long-time companion, Barb Lundy. He was an avid supporter of local sports, proudly cheering for the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Bearcats, Dayton Flyers, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Bob was also a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion, reflecting his strong sense of service and loyalty that resonated with those who knew him.

Bob is survived by his loving children, grandchildren, and dear friend Barb; his siblings, Jim (Collen) Waddle, Joe Waddle, and John (Becky McKee) Waddle; his aunt, Anna Louise Wright; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Waddle; his mother, Dorothy Slater; and his stepfather, Nick Slater.

Robert “Bob” Waddle will be remembered for the love he showed to his family and friends. His spirit and kindness will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Per Bob’s wishes, there will be no public service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Legion Beavercreek Post 763, 3200 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45434, in his memory.
