Robert E. Strank

Robert E. Strank "Bob", age 86 of Fairborn, went to be with his Lord on September 25, 2017. He was born December 20, 1930 in Huntington, WV to the late Arthur E. Strank and Geraldine (Dennison) Darnell. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his 3 brothers; 1 son, Arthur E. Strank; 1 granddaughter, Kristie Smith and 1 grandson, Brad Strank.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy K. Strank; children, Beverly J. (Michael) Vomvas, James E. (Judy) Strank, Gerri A. (Dale) Bolen, Edward A. (Cris) Strank, Susan (Michael) Smith, Debbie (David) Gwin, Lisa Leigh (Eric) Denlinger, Priscilla (Don) Wiggins and Robert J. Strank; 35 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Bryant; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and the Army Reserves. He is a past member of the F.O.P and the American Legion. Bob worked and retired from law enforcement having served as a police officer all around the country. He was a member of the Xenia First Church of the Nazarene.

Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Patriot Ridge Community for all the love and care they have provided for Bob and his family.

Family will receive friends from 11 AM to 12 noon on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45432 where a funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Interment will follow the service at Byron Cemetery, Fairborn.
