Robert “Bob” Rufh was born on January 15, 1961, to Mary Ann and Richard Rufh. He lived a life defined by dedication, service, and quiet devotion to those he loved.
Bob proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force. Throughout his military career, and later as a civilian, he worked extensively on various aircraft, a role that reflected both his technical skill and strong work ethic. His commitment to aviation continued well beyond his years of service, and he was respected by colleagues for his knowledge, reliability, and professionalism.
Outside of work, Bob found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed spending time on the golf course, experimenting in the kitchen as a passionate home cook, and traveling to experience new places. He was also a die hard fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes and had a love hate relationship with the Cleveland Browns. Above all, he valued time with family and those closest to him.
Bob is survived by his longtime partner, Nancy Cook; his three daughters, Mia (Duke) Huynh, Samantha (Gavin) Moore, and Noell (Dylan) Easthon; his mother, Mary Ann Rufh; his sister, Kathy McFadden; and the mother of his daughters, Young Ju Rufh. He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Taylin, Elijah, Isaac, and Olive, who brought him great happiness.
Bob will be remembered for his steady presence, his service to his country, and his love for his family. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and the family he cherished.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held at King's Table (2348 Grange Hall Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45431) on Monday January 12, 2026 at 3:00 pm.
