Robert Wayne "Bob" Richardson

Robert Wayne "Bob" Richardson, age 86, of Xenia, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on June 9, 2025. Bob was born in Ravenna, Kentucky on May 29, 1939 to the late Harry and Ethel Richardson.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 55 years, Amelia Richardson; brothers, Ronnie Richardson, Harry Richardson and James Richardson; and his sisters, Norma "Itty" Lutz and Angel Arnold.

He is survived by son, James (Beth) Richardson; brother, Ransom Richardson; sisters, Mary Wells, Midge Neal and Jane Blevins; grandchildren, Corey (Laura) and Cody (Tara); great-grandchildren, Roman, Rhett and Amelia "Mia"; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and family members.

Bob was a United States Air Force Veteran. He retired from Ohio Bell Telephone after 27 years. He was a lifetime member of the Xenia VFW Post #2402. Bob was honored with the Kentucky Colonel Award on October 22, 1992.

In his free time, he enjoyed attending car shows, gardening, fishing, camping, playing card games, baking and watching baseball.

Bob was a great father and grandfather. He had a great sense of humor and had a love for helping others.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek), where funeral services will begin at 1:00pm.
