Robert Mitchell "Bob" Scott

Robert Scott, of Beavercreek, OH, Born September 30, 1940, passed away on Sunday April 5th, 2026, at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his parents, John M. and Ruth Scott; a Sister, Susan Hibbits Carpenter; a twin brother, David Scott; his wife Donna Scott; and a daughter Marie Scott. He is survived by his three sons Robert Scott, John (Angela) Scott, and Stephen (Jennifer) Scott; and two grandchildren, Cecilia Marie Scott and John Boone Scott.

Bob started his career working in the family business as a young man at Knollwood Florist. Bob, along with his brother Dave, took over operations of Knollwood Florist from their father to develop it into the full-service Garden Center now known as Knollwood Garden Center and currently led by the third generation of Scotts. Bob led and supported various community activities throughout his career. He served as President of the Beavercreek Rotary Club as well as serving on various committees for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).  Bob was a dedicated parishioner of St. Luke Catholic Church where he both served on the finance committee and as a Eucharistic Minister.

Early on in his career he met his wife Donna while she was working as a nurse.  They enjoyed their courtship traveling in their beloved Austin Healey sports car.  They were married shortly after and began their family. Bob was a devoted father of 4 children, whom he supported in school and with after-school activities. Bob was an avid lover of all things sports cars and shared this passion with all of his kids. He and his wife loved family vacations; amongst their favorite was Cape Cod where they enjoyed activities such as reading on the beach, hiking, sampling seafood and boat watching at the Harbor.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Bob will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 10:30am, at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N. Fairfield Rd., in Beavercreek. Visitation will be held an hour before the service on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 9:30am to 10:30am, at the church. Interment will follow the service at Byron Cemetery, 3256 Trebein Rd. in Fairborn.
