Robert Lee Milnickel, affectionately known as Bobby, was born on December 20, 1972, in Dayton, Ohio. He departed this life unexpectedly on September 20, 2025, in Riverside, Ohio, leaving behind an indelible mark on the hearts of many. Bobby's journey through life was one characterized by vibrance and laughter.
A graduate of Stebbins High School in 1991, Bobby carried with him an outgoing and flamboyant personality that drew people in. His infectious laughter could lighten the heaviest of hearts. Whether he was bowling, singing, dancing, or passionately watching tennis matches, Bobby's enthusiasm was nothing short of a colorful spectacle that brought joy to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Professionally, Bobby made a name for himself as a dedicated general manager for Taco Bell and later for Penn Station, where he poured his heart into every role he filled. His vibrant presence in the workplace inspired not only his colleagues but also created a welcoming atmosphere for customers who often became friends.
Bobby’s spirit will continue to live on through his family and friends, including his beloved mama, Shirley Milnickel, and his brothers, Janson Milnickel and Michael Newport along with his sister-in-law, Sophie Milnickel. He cherished his nieces and nephews: Brandon Newport (Arianna), January Lee Newport, Samantha Newport, Emmett Milnickel, and Sammatha Milnickel, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Bobby was also the proud uncle to his great-nieces and great-nephews: Kenneth Brinkman, Khloe Wallace, Braydon Newport, Kaylee Knisley, and Aric Knisley. Bobby is survived by his best friend, Tony Wall, whose companionship enriched his life immensely. He is also survived by many other family members and great friends too many to mention.
Bobby’s life was his beloved dog, Lily Andrews, and he missed her dearly.
Though his parents, Richard and Patti Milnickel, have preceded him in death, Bobby’s legacy continues through the love and memories he shared with those still with us. As we commemorate Bobby’s extraordinary life, let us celebrate the happy soul that danced through life with exuberance, leaving us all with a sense of gratitude for having walked alongside him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM, both taking place at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424.
