Robert Preston Mcqueen

Robert Preston McQueen, age 74 of Dayton, OH passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021. He was born July 6, 1947 in Berea, Kentucky to Bill and Sarah (Bowman) McQueen. He married Carolyn Cox on May 6, 1995 in Lima, OH.

Robert is survived by his wife 26 years Carolyn; one daughter, Diane (Ron) Hancock; an adopted daughter, Miranda McQueen; two step-sons, Donald R. Sorrells, Jr. and Anthony W. (Amy McCain) Sorrells; a step-daughter, Laura D. Sorrells; a sister, Connie Pope; brothers, Ben and Walker (Pam) McQueen; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Brenda; and brothers, Billy and Jack McQueen.

Robert worked at Dayton Bag and Burlap, retiring in 2013. He loved to fish and taking trips with Carolyn. Robert enjoyed watching westerns on TV and working in the yard. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Robert will be laid to rest following the services at Byron Cemetery, Fairborn, OH.
