Robert William Mack Sr., M/SGT Ret USAF
It is with great sadness and yet great joy that the family of Robert W. Mack Sr. announces that on the 27th of February, he finally got his wish to be with his Lord and Savior and our mother in Heaven.
Robert was born on 2 July 1931 in North Middletown, KY where he was loved and cherished by his family but most of all by his grandmother Mam. He loved everyone and was loved by the same. He never knew a stranger and was kind and considerate to all. A more noble man never lived. Truly he embodied the "Golden Rule".
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Gwendolyn H. Mack and their daughter
Elizabeth Lynne Mack.
He is survived by his six children: Robert W. Mack Jr., Patricia A. Mack-Clay (Thomas Davis III), Barbara J. Mack, Merry E. Payton (William), Cathe R. Mack-McGarry (Douglas), Marion S. Roberts (David). Grandchildren: Sylvia A. Sweeney (Mike), Kendall E. Mack, Rian A. Maxie, Deborah Elizabeth Welker (Joshua), Rebecca C. Mack, Robert K. Mack, Kalen H. Mack (Lynsey), Madison R. Brown, Stacey S. Brown, Cathe Gwendolyn Brown, special niece Sharron Hawkins, and numerous great-grandchildren.
He retired from the US Air Force after 27 years of honorable and commendable service. He then continued to work at WPAFB for another 20 years serving as the Executive Chef at the Officer's Club and Rathskellar. He enjoyed fishing and rabbit hunting and adored and was adored by every dog on the planet. He was, until his illness wouldn't allow him, and active member of Spinning Road Baptist Church. A kinder, sweeter, more compassionate person never drew the breath of life. His word was his bond and he lived a life of integrity. His memory will be cherished and he will be deeply missed, yet we are certain of a reunion with him in Heaven.
Funeral services will be held on 5 March 2019 at Spinning Road Baptist Church in Riverside, OH, with Pastor Scott Goodman officiating. Visitation with family will be at 1pm with the service to start at 2pm. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum.
Matthew 25:23 "His Master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share in your Master's happiness!'"
