Robert Lee "Bob" Leis, Jr.

Robert Lee "Bob" Leis, Jr., age 77, of Dayton, passed away August 25, 2026. He was born October 27, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Robert Leis, Sr. and Betty Bausman Leis. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved grandma, Helen Young Bausman; wife, Barbara Leis; daughter, Deborah Ann Duffield; sisters and brothers: Beverly Ann Leis, Jim Leis, Linda Pernicka and John Clay "Bimbo" Kelly.

Bob is survived by daughters: Nancy Bozeman, Michelle Leis and Penny Duffield; brothers and sisters: Michael Leis (Janet), Donna Leis Amann, Betty Leis Harman (John), Steve Bailey (Sharon), Floyd "Bud Leis (Connie), Linda Leis Adams (Phil) and Shawn Leis (Kacy); uncle, Jerry Bausman; numerous grandchildren, including special grandchildren: She'Ronda, Jeronda and Rockson, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bob loved fishing, hunting and playing the lottery. He worked as a mechanic and worked at a print shop for many years. Bob loved his dogs and cats and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm. Burial will follow at Shiloh Park Cemetery.
