Robert Joseph Lange Sr.

Robert J. Lange Sr. "Bob" was born in Lincoln Park, New Jersey on December 10, 1937, to Frank and Edna Lange, and he peacefully passed away on Friday, July 31st. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and their spouses.

To Bob, family was the most treasured part of his life and he valued his loved ones above all else. He held great passion for his country, his community, and his beloved animals.

Bob is now reunited with his beloved wife of 66 years, Margaret "Peggy" Lange, who passed away on August 17, 2026, just 17 days after his passing. He is survived by his children; Bob (Mark), Trayce (Dan), and Michael; his grandchildren; Katie (Michael), Erin (Mark), and Cassie; and his great-grandchild, Amelia.

He was a true gentleman who lived his life with honor, humility and integrity. Bob’s family would like to thank the amazing caregivers and the Enclave of Springboro and Day City Hospice for making his transition as peaceful as possible.

A visitation to honor both Bob and Peggy will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton OH 45459). A memorial service will begin at 3:00 pm. The family encourages those who are attending to dress in comfortable attire.
