Robert J. Krebs Jr.

Robert “Bob” J. Krebs, Jr., passed away on August 18, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. Krebs and Wilma (Borger) Krebs, his brother, William “Bill” Krebs, brothers-in-law, Frederick Grable and Ronald Peppo, and sister-in-law, Christine Peppo.

He is survived by his wife, Frances, of 54 years, his son, Robert (Sarah), granddaughters, Ava, Maribelle, and Florence, brother, David (Betty), sisters-in-law, Carol Krebs and Barbara Grable, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob graduated in 1965 from Chaminade High School and 1969 from University of Dayton. He got his law degree at Salmon Chase Law School in Cincinnati. He practiced law for 37 years.

He had a passion for playing tennis, playing at both high school and college levels. He also enjoyed spending time at Caesar’s Creek beach and taking yearly vacations to Florida. Bob has been a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters since 1955. He is a member of St. Francis Knights of Columbus. He was active with the South and East Dayton Optimist Clubs, the Eagles, having previously held position of President of Retired Eagles Activity Club (REAC). He was also a member of the Moose and Keenagers of St. Francis Parish.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, OH 45459). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 10:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church (6245 Wilmington Pike, Centerville, OH 45459). Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
