Robert Roy Hedges III, age 68 of Tipp City, passed away in July of 2026 at Troy Rehab. He was born in December of 1957 in Troy, Ohio the son of Robert and Lois Hedges.
After graduating Tippecanoe HS, Rob joined the US Army as an MP and was given the opportunity to serve on an AWOL Apprehension Unit traveling around the country. After his enlistment ended, he became a Long-Haul Truck Driver with Hazmat certification. While a member of the National Guard, Rob was called to serve in the Gulf War as a Fuel Truck Driver. It was mission critical to transport fuel to the US Army fuel depots all over Iraq. After the war, Rob resumed his career as a Truck Driver for over 30 years.
He had a great love for dogs and cats; and enjoyed his various collections of Movies and Records. He also collected numerous hobby model cars, planes, tanks, trucks; and many Lego kits.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother.
Rob is survived by his Sister, Holly (Edwin) McKay; Brother, Wade (Pam) Hedges; and other loving family members and friends.
Rob will be laid to rest at Maple Hill Cemetery.
