Robert "Gene" Marshall

Robert "Gene" Marshall, age 83 of Brookville, Ohio passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026. He was born April 10, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The son of the late Joe and Dorothy Marshall (Lewis)

Gene was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Genes pride and joy was family and being there for one another. During their marriage Gene and Carol were foster parents for over 30 years. Gene loved helping others and volunteered his time at Adams County Food Bank for over 10 years. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Carol Marshall (Ostendorf); sister, Joann Marshall; brother, Don Marshall.

He is survived by his children, Sheila (Scott) Teague, Barry (Angie) Marshall, Luke Marshall, and Harold (Cathy) Davis; grandchildren, Amanda Davis, Steven Davis, Caitlin Womack, Sean Womack, Allen Kennedy, Rueben Kennedy, Ashley Teague, and Jesse Teague; great-grandchildren, Sean Womack Jr., Warner Kennedy, and Carson Kennedy; sisters, Vicki (Donnie) Boggs and Bobbie Sundeen; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026 from 5-6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A funeral service will follow beginning at 6pm.
