Robert E. Miller

Robert E. Miller, age 68 of Kettering, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Kettering Health Main Campus. He was born September 14, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Edward and Ruth Miller. Robert graduated from Trotwood Madison High School and earned his associates degree from the International College of Broadcasting. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Robert worked as a chef for over 50 years and he cooked for many different places throughout his life, most recently the Tano Bistro in Hamilton, OH. He had a life long passion for sports. He played Hockey in high school and was an award winning Baseball and Softball player and was quite a gifted Bowler and Golfer. He was a member of the PGA Tour Club and the Professional Bowlers Association. Robert also loved watching sports and was a supporter of the University of Alabama Football and Indiana University Basketball. He liked to sing and listen to music. Robert was an animal lover and he is leaving behind his cats Ditty and Cookie, and he is joining his dogs Buster and Bella. Robert touched a lot of lives and will be deeply missed.

Robert is survived by his Life Partner, Julie Silvers; Son, Kyle M. Miller; Daughter, Kaitlyn (Jacob) Miller; Step-Daughters, Kellie Pierce, and Kristie (Chris) Mathews; Grandson, Noah Miller; Granddaughters, Ava Mathews, and Lila Mathews; Brother, Steve (Cathy) Miller; Sister, Kathy (Rich) Thompson; Daughter-In-Law, Brittany (Drew) Pouncey; and by numerous other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his Sister, Sharon Williams, his parents, and other loved ones.
