Robert Jay Anthony Brenner

October 28, 1953 — June 16, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Jay Anthony Brenner, who left this world on June 16, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on October 28, 1953, Robert lovingly known to many as Bob, was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose impact on those around him will be long remembered and cherished.

Professionally, Robert was synonymous with hard work and dedication. He devoted 30 years of his life to General Motors, where his strong and unwavering work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and management alike. After retiring from GM, he embarked on a fulfilling venture of running his own lawn care service for 15 years, which allowed him to remain connected to the community he loved. His commitment to providing for his family was evident in every role he took on.

In addition to his professional achievements, Robert was also proud of his educational background. He graduated from Patterson Co-Op High School, where he not only excelled academically but also made his mark as a wrestler. In his younger years, Robert was also a competitive power lifter. His strength and determination were hallmarks of his character, and he brought that same spirit into every aspect of his life.

Robert's personality was a tapestry of caring and generosity; he always placed the needs and well-being of others before his own. His unwavering faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him through both struggles and triumphs. Yet, above all, it was his family that meant the most to him. Robert's beloved wife of 53 years, Brenda Brenner, stood by his side through every chapter of life, and together they created a loving home for their wonderful children, Michael Brian Brenner (Betsy) and Amanda Y. Brenner (Makia Parker). He took immense joy in the lives of his three amazing grandchildren: Oliver Jay Anthony Brenner, Eli Jonahs Brenner, and Henry Brian Brenner, whom he adored and cherished.

Robert shared a special bond with his siblings, John M. Brenner and Susan Eyler, who will miss him dearly, along with a host of nieces, nephews who were close to his heart, and countless very close friends who were fortunate to know his kind spirit.

He was also a man of simple pleasures and interests, possessing a true appreciation for cars, particularly classic cars, reflecting his love for craftsmanship and timeless beauty.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, John M. Brenner and Cleo Davis, as well as his brothers, David Michael Brenner and Joseph Anthony Brenner, who awaited his arrival with open arms.

Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday June 25, 2025 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, for visiting hours from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, with Robert's service starting at 7:00pm.
