Rita Delores Thomas

Rita Delores Thomas was born on February 18, 1964 to William Barnett and Betty Thomas of Athens, Clarke County, Georgia. She departed this life on May 31, 2025 in Dayton, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Fannie Barnett; granddaughter, Terriyana Belk; and niece, Janea Barnett.

In addition to her parents, she leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Darrylyana Belk; daughters, Dena Lauderdale, Jasmine Wheeler (DeVonta Davis), Europe Wheeler, and Shanade Curtis, all of Athens, Georgia; brothers, William Thomas of Dayton, Ohio, Kenyana Thomas (Marcel), William Barnett, Jr, and Bernard Henson, all of Athens, Georgia; sisters, Jacqueline Thomas of Atlanta, Georgia, and Delores Barnett of Athens, Georgia; companion, John Black; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A private viewing will be held at the convenience of the family.
