Rita Ellen Goins

Goins, Rita Ellen, age 85 of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2016. Rita was born in Miamisburg to the late Carl and Mary Boyer.

She is survived by children, Bobby Boyer, John Goins, Marvin (Linda) Goins, Beverly (Tom) Bond, Mary (Michael) Bangert, and Kandy (Kevin) McGrew; grandchildren, Scott, Bobby, Jason, John, Charles, Michael, Kammy, Tabitha, Jason, Tammy, Amanda, Rocky, Nathan, and Kierstyn; 19 great-grandchildren; special niece, Melody (Ray) Schleicher; and many other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Ernest Goins; brothers, Dale, Billy, Alan, Donnie, and David.

Rita was a loyal fan of the Miamisburg Vikings, Cincinnati Bengals, local auto racing, and Nascar. She was a lifetime member of the Dayton Auto Racing Fan Club (DARF) and a member of the local Miamisburg Moose Chapter 224. Rita could often be found in the stands proudly watching her grandchildren play baseball and football, racing quarter midgets, dancing in competitions and listening to her grandson announce at local racing tracks.

She was a kind, loving, and compassionate woman and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Chapel from 3pm - 6pm. Funeral service to be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11am, with a one hour visitation prior (10am-11am). Pastor Mark Goins to officiate. Burial to follow at Hillgrove Cemetery in Mamisburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rita's memory to DARF's Injured Driver Fund or Hospice of Butler-Warren Counties.
