Riley Alan Ray Ledbetter, 2 of Fairborn, gained his wings on November 30, 2018. Riley fought Hepatoblastoma, childhood liver cancer, with bravery and strength for the majority of his short time with us. Riley was born on August 17, 2016 to proud and loving parents, Roger Alan Ledbetter, Jr. and Ashley Cecile Kay. He was a loving and kind hearted little boy. Riley loved to put on a show for anyone who would watch and captivated the heart of everyone who met him. Riley loved to read and interact with people. He enjoyed walking around and visiting others on his floor. Everywhere he went, Riley brought joy and smiles with him. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten by all who met him.
Riley was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Bob and Nadine Ledbetter.
Riley leaves to cherish his memory, loving parents, Alan Ledbetter and Ashley Kay; brothers, Jordan Ledbetter, Roman Ledbetter; sister, Maria Ledbetter; grandparents, Chrystal and James Williams, Alfonso Whaley, David Ziemba, Julie Delph, and Roger and Ola Ledbetter, Sr.; aunts and uncles, Savannah Ledbetter, Andy Brunot, Izabelle Ziemba, and Gabriel Ziemba; a host of caregivers who became family; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Riley's family would like to express their gratitude to all the nurses, doctors, and staff at Nationwide Children's and Miami Valley Hospital for their love, compassion, and care of Riley over the past two years.
A service honoring Riley's life will take place on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Newcomer - North Chapel at 10:30am. Family will greet friends and loved ones for one hour prior (9:30a - 10:30a). Riley will be laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery in Brookville, Ohio immediately after the service.
