Ricky Paul Allen Watts, born January 28, 1982, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on April 25, 2026, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Known for his loving and caring nature, Ricky was a man whose heart combined tenderness with the strength of a lion, exhibiting respectfulness and an adventurous spirit throughout his life.
Ricky's dedication to his family and friends was unwavering and he always placed them first. He enjoyed watching movies, attending comic conventions, and playing video games. A devoted fan of Chuck Norris and the Philadelphia Eagles.
A 2000 graduate of West Carrollton High School, Ricky furthered his education by obtaining an Associate Degree from Sinclair College. Ricky contributed significantly through his work at Wright Patterson Credit Union, where he was employed for several years, demonstrating a strong work ethic and dedication.
Ricky is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy; his parents, Rick and Debbi Watts; and grandparents Edward and Kim Hawley, as well as Sarah Rader. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Paul and Brenda Watts, and Blanche Griffith. He is also survived by his brother, Kyle Watts, along with Kyle’s wife Nicole; his stepchildren, Heidi Green and Jeffrey Vergakis; and his nieces and nephews Natali, Rosalie, Connor, and Ivy. He was also cherished by many other family members and friends who remember him fondly.
Ricky will be remembered for his quirky personality, witty tongue and adventurous soul. Ricky’s spirit of adventure, his loving and caring heart, and his unyielding strength in the face of illness are reminders of a life well-lived. Ricky will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Ave.
