It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rickie Benjamin Redick, who departed this life on July 6, 2025, at the age of 27. Rickie was born on August 12, 1997, and throughout his life, he exemplified a spirit of kindness, laughter, and unwavering support for those around him.
Professionally, Rickie dedicated himself to the field of diesel mechanics and was a roadside service technician, a career he approached with both passion and enthusiasm. His work was more than a job to him; it was a reflection of his commitment to helping others. Rickie's ability to connect with people was evident not only in his profession but also in his everyday interactions. He was known to be a prankster, always seeking ways to bring a smile or a laugh to those around him. His light-hearted nature was matched by his willingness to lend a hand, as he was always the first to stop what he was doing to assist someone in need.
Above all, the essence of Rickie's existence was deeply rooted in his family. He cherished the bond he shared with his beloved wife, Ashley Redick, and adored their beautiful daughters, Phoebe and Millie. To Rickie, nothing was as important as his family, and he demonstrated this through his devoted actions and selfless love as he would do anything for them. Rickie’s devotion extended to his parents, Thalia (Phil) McCally and Chris (Kelly) Redick Sr., as well as his siblings, Christopher (Makaya) Redick II, Marisa (Lonnie) Cooley, Kenneth (Tayla) McCally, Jacob (Elena) McCally, Zachery Chapman, Timothy (Kiley) Boyd, and Anthony (Sam) Boyd. He treasured these relationships and often spoke of the joy his family brought to his life.
Rickie is also survived by his parents-in-law, Barbara and John Kelly, his faithful puppies, Max and Lilly, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will miss his irrepressible spirit and infectious laughter.
Rickie Benjamin Redick's legacy is one of love, laughter, and loyalty, and he will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His impact on those around him will resonate for years to come, as he leaves behind cherished memories and an enduring love for his family.
