Rickey L. Salomon

Rickey L. Salomon, age 90 of Springboro, passed away on January 29, 2021. She was born March 19, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Albert and Shari (Goldstein) Buchholz. In addition to her parents, Rickey was preceded in death by her husband, Robert.
She is survived by her son, Mark (Kim) Salomon; grandchildren, Christopher (Kay), Kayla (Tyler) and Corey; great-grandchildren, Mason and Austin; cousins, Elliot (Mary) Ames and Marcia (Lou) Sauer both of New Jersey; three close dear friends, Ellen, Julie and Elaine.
Rickey was an avid gardener and bird watcher. She loved to watch baseball and attended many afternoon games after school at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn. Rickey played basketball for Cortland State in upstate New York. She enjoyed all different animals especially dogs which she cared for all throughout her life. Rickey traveled all over the world with her friend, having visited Europe, Greece and Australia just to name a few.
A memorial gathering will be held from 5-8 PM on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, 45459).
"The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face mask will be worn in all public places."
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Greater Dayton Humane Society, in Rickey's memory.
