POWELL, Rick, age 63 of Springboro, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2016. He was born in Dayton to the late Harold and Auerlia Powell. Rick worked as a machine repairman at GM for many years until he retired in 2007. He loved to spend his free time building RC models, boating, fishing, racing, and doting on his grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by brothers, Richard "Dick" Powell and Rodney "Buddy" Powell. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, loving wife of 45 years, Karen Powell; children, Hollie (Stephen) Arnett and Robbie Powell; grandchildren, Macy, Nina, London, and Autumn; brothers, Roger Powell and Robert (Rita) Powell; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Kettering. The family will greet friends and loved ones for 2 hours prior (4pm - 6pm).
