Richard Lee Schipper, fondly known as "Dickie," passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026. Born on June 7, 1943, Dickie was a man whose life was characterized by a unique blend of humor, generosity, and deep familial love. His presence was marked by a goofy charm and a lovable character that brightened the days of those who knew him.
Throughout his life, Dickie's passions included playing cards, a pastime that not only brought him joy but also provided countless moments of connection with family and friends. His greatest pride was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and extended family, cherishing these bonds above all else.
Dickie is lovingly remembered by his daughter Sandra (Edward) McCormick and his son James (Malinda) Hancock. His memory lives on through his grandchildren: Skeeter, Whitney, Brandi (David), James, Sara (Nick), Todd, Allison, Cole, and Skylar, as well as his great-grandchildren Sumarah, Dejah, Kaiden, Jacob, Chevelle, Colton, Hensley, Addeline, Ava, and Aya;. He also leaves behind devoted siblings Earl (Carol) Schipper and Donald (Sandy) Schipper, along with a cherished network of nieces, nephews, cousins, half-siblings, and friends who were fortunate to share in his laughter and kindness.
Dickie's life was shaped by the family he treasured, including those who preceded him in passing: his parents, Earl and Mary Lou; sisters, Marleen and Judy; his beloved wife, Treva; and his daughter, Connie. Their memories are woven into the fabric of his life story, one that reflects enduring love and heartfelt dedication.
