Richard Joseph Lamantia Jr.

Richard Joseph Lamantia, age 60 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born May 22, 1965 in Lima, Ohio the son of Richard and Pauline Lamantia. He graduated from Chaminade-Julienne High School and earned his Associates Degree from Sinclair Community College. He worked for Abbey Credit Union as a Manager for over 25 years. Richard was a man of great faith and was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Parish. He was a proud fan of the Green Bay Packers. Richard loved bicycling and watching the Tour de France. He liked to spend time in the water and enjoyed trips to the ocean. Richard was a hard worker, a good provider, and he took great care of his family every day. His family was the most important thing to him. Richards family and friends will never forget his sense of humor, warm heart and loud whistle. He will be deeply missed.

Richard is survived by his girlfriend, Toni Chambers; son, Blake T. (Kayla) Lamantia; sisters, Deb (Gary) Smith, and Ann Lamantia; three brothers, Mark (Jill) Lamantia, Phil (Colleen) Lamantia, and Matt (Rachelle) Lamantia; and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe Lamantia; uncles, Fr. Jim, and Fr. Bob; and aunt, Sr. Sally.
