Dick was a successful businessman, spending 25 years of his career as a labor relations director for Dayco and later, along with his wife Becky, as the owner of Express Employment Professionals, a staffing company in Dayton.
Dick was passionate about music. He sang as a member of the boys' choir in Christ Church Cathedral in St. Louis. He loved everything from classical music to Willie Nelson. Dick enriched the lives of his children by passing his love of music to them.
Dick was a distance runner who completed several marathons, including the New York City Marathon three times. He picked up distance running in his forties and could be seen out on the road, still putting on the miles, into his eighties.
Most importantly, Dick was a warm, supportive and generous man who loved his family deeply and gave all of himself as a devoted father and husband.
Dick was loved and will be missed greatly by his entire family, including his loyal dog Emma.
