Richard Jackson III, 72, of Xenia, passed away February 15, 2017. Richard was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 9, 1944 to the late Richard and Jean Jackson. Richard retired from the United States Air Force after over 20 years of service. In his free time he enjoyed soccer and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Noyes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Kathy Jackson; sons, Richard Jackson IV, Jeffrey Jackson, Sean (Rebecca) Jackson, Aaron Jackson; grandchildren, Tara, Hunter, Holden, Jacob; brother, Timothy (Joyce) Jackson; sister, Kathy Lee Samsel; and several other relatives and special friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, where funeral services will be held Monday at 12:30 pm. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to American Cancer Society, Southwest Region Office, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206 or Hospice of Dayton Foundation, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
