Richard Franklin Erwin

Richard Franklin Erwin, born to Elaine and Franklin Erwin, on November 1st, 1949, in McRoberts, Kentucky. At the age of 76, Richard passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, October 10th, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. Richard was an Army veteran; retired from Quantum Corporation.

He enjoyed sports activities, fishing, watching football/baseball, and spending time with family. Could often be found playing a mean tambourine while supporting his brothers musical endeavors.

Richard was survived by daughter, Elizabeth Erwin, son-in-law, Brian Harmon, grandchildren, Kain Harmon, Jordan Harmon, son, Richard Erwin, daughter-in-law, Rosalyn Vargas, grandchild, Layne Erwin, grandchildren, Breanna Wilhelm, Braden Grycza, and 2 great grandchildren, sister, Dianne Mosser, brother, James Erwin, uncle, Konrad "Chip" Erwin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine (Pezackie) Erwin, father, Franklin Erwin, sister, Sandra Steinbrugge, sister, Kathleen Wagner, brother, Dennis Erwin, son, Jonathan Erwin and daughter, Melissa Grycza.

Visitation will be held from 1:00pm-2:00pm, on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where the Memorial Service will begin at 2:00pm.
