Richard E. Coffelt, known to those who cherished him as "Dick," passed away on October 28, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio, at the age of 94. Born on September 18, 1931, in Xenia, Ohio, Dick was a beloved figure whose life was marked by his commitment to family, career, and faith.

A proud graduate of Xenia Central High School, Class of 1949, Dick then pursued higher education and received his Bachelor's Degree in History. He worked diligently in the accounting field for over 20 years at Brandt Sales Furniture, before transitioning to a rewarding career as a Loan Officer with Security National Bank, now recognized as Park National Bank, from which he eventually retired.

Dick's dedication extended beyond his professional life. He was a member of Hillside Chapel Church in Beavercreek, where his faith played a central role in his life. His outgoing and social personality drew people to him; he was known for his humor and his love for intellectual discussions and debates. Dick's warm spirit touched the lives of many, leaving behind fond memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.

In his younger years, Dick enjoyed a variety of hobbies and interests that reflected his adventurous spirit. He loved to hunt and fish, was an avid reader, and found joy in trapshooting. His vivacious personality and zest for life made him not only a remarkable individual but also a treasured friend.

Dick is survived by his loving daughter, Joy Miller; dear grandchildren, Benjamin and Emily; along with many other caring cousins, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Foy and Elsa "Louise" Coffelt, and his beloved wife, Doris Coffelt.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service beginning at 3:00 PM, at Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek, located at 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH, 45432, with Pastor Art Beasley officiating. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Spring Valley Township Cemetery.
